SyncVV Vicon Metadata Bridge
Bridging metadata between Vicon and SyncVV. Vicon-linked workflows, made simpler and more practical.
Liberal Logic, Inc. has released SyncVV Vicon Metadata Bridge (VMB), a new application that bridges metadata between Vicon recording systems and SyncVV projects. VMB is available from SyncVV Version 3.0.0.
In the three years since the second generation of SyncVV shipped, customers have consistently told us that the lack of metadata linkage between Vicon and SyncVV was an operational burden. VMB is the result of taking that problem on directly.
What VMB Does
- Installs on the Vicon recording system and works after a simple configuration
- Reads your existing ENF files, analyzes their hierarchy, and picks up the keys you need
- Passes the collected values through to SyncVV project metadata
VMB detects that Vicon Shogun or Vicon Eclipse has updated an ENF file and updates SyncVV take information according to rules you define. It also works with user-defined keys such as RESULT=.
No Changes to Your Existing Database
Vicon metadata is highly customizable, and many studios build and operate their own database structures around the specific needs of each project. VMB was designed with that reality in mind.
Rather than handling only a fixed set of predefined fields, VMB reads the structure of the ENF files you actually use before bridging them. That means it can be introduced without touching your existing database configuration.
Less Transcription, Less Checking
Automating metadata linkage removes the manual transcription and verification steps that studios have had to carry out by hand on set — freeing your team to spend that time on higher-value studio work.
